Safeguarding

INTRODUCTION

At CiC International we take the safeguarding of children and adults very seriously.

We believe all Christian Ministers have a duty to recognise and be well informed on issues regarding safeguarding, reporting of abuse, recognising its signs and knowing how to appropriately handle them.

CiC’s duty is to ensure that its members have undergone appropriate vetting and training for the role and position they hold both within their organisation and more widely amongst the general public.

You can read our full safeguarding policy below:

CiC MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

All CiC accredited members are required to have a minimum of Foundation/Level 3 (or equivalent) safeguarding training and provide evidence of this, usually in the form of a certificate from a licensed provider of safeguarding training.

All CiC member organisations are required to have their own safeguarding policy that is suitable for meeting their aims and objectives.

Each member organisation is also responsible for ensuring its ministers have undergone DBS/Vetting and provide evidence of this to CiC.

Without the correct safeguarding training, policies or proofs requested, CiC is unable to give or renew ministerial accreditation.

For full details refer to the full Safeguarding Policy above.

RECOMMENDED TRAINING FOR CiC MEMBERS

If you are an accredited CiC member, our recommended training provider is thirtyone:eight.
